It was built by the 'Ricordi' family - Milanese publishers back in in the mid '800's. The villa is became infamous after Giuseppe Verdi (a very famous opera composer) composed “La Traviata” there. The apartment is in an ideal location, just a stroll from the restaurants, bars and the ferry station of Cadennabia. From here, the ferry stops at all the popular towns of the 'Golden Triangle' - the towns of Bellagio, Varenna, & Menaggio as well as many more. The villa is surrounded by magnificent grounds and secret gardens full of beautiful flowers and specimen trees all year round. It is also one of the few villas around the lake which offers direct access to a private beach, exlcusive for the residents and guests of the Villa. Enjoy lying under the heat of the sun and swimming in the lake. The villa also has a play area with swings for children to enjoy. The interior of the apartment has been beautifully restored and luxuriously decorated. It offers a double bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living area, sleeping an extra 2 people. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a full entertainment system - Flat screen TV with Skycable and DVD player. There is also a small rooftop terrace accessed from the bedroom or living area where you can relax enjoy the breathtaking, panoramic views of the lake. | There is a service charge which is inclusive of bed linen, towels, electricity, gas, water & air-conditioning (if installed in the holiday property). Tea towels & beach towels are not supplied.
